Design Tips/Tricks
Design Tip #1:
“When you have a background that is one certain color, don’t use the same shade of the same color for the text. Use an opposite or abstract color to increase readability and visual likeness.” (P.S.- And don’t use an outline on the text to make it look better

Design Tip #2:
When making something from scratch, remember to just keep things simple. When I first started design work about 2 years ago, I thought everything that I made had to be this?massively?complex contraption that would just all go together and just work, but I soon found out that was not the case. I soon had to realize that just making things simple would, well make life and design more simple! ?It was once said, ?”Design is not just what it looks like, and feels like. Design is how it works!” and this is so very true in many ways. Design has to have a flow and a rhythm. I can’t just sit down expect it to come out of nowhere, although there are people who can, and expect it to be the best thing ever made on the first try. Design also has to have an end purpose. What is the purpose for making a certain thing, or what is the intended purpose for it? Who is the intended audience, and what is the age demographic that will be viewing that piece of work or holding that brochure or handout? All of this has to start from somewhere! So, just something to take into consideration when “In the zone” HA!!
Well, happy designing!
Design Tip #3:
When it comes down to it, still graphics are soon working their way into the background of design. Still graphics have been utilized for many, many different applications and will always be. I mean obviously you can’t have a “motion” graphic without some still shots made, because it just doesn’t work that way. For me, I always seem to pay attention to those new fancy motion graphic commercials that come on TV kind of like this one here: Click here for Mazda Commercial
For the most part I think I would find myself paying more attention to those rather than just a really nice looking still graphic. It seems more like it just reaches out and grabs me by the collar and says, “HEY, PAY ATTENTION”!!
Then there comes the really well done motion graphics that most people won’t ever see, unless your just into finding all sorts of crazy things on the internet, kind of like this one here:

So, whether or not you will be doing great things such as these, or whether you will be starting simple, always remember that design is how it works, and then all the rest of that other stuff comes later.
Happy Designing!
